Gateway Arts - Production Coordinator Intern
My internship at Gateway Arts was an opportunity for me to step into the Theatre industry in Singapore. I had many fruitful experiences as I was involved in all 3 production phases (Pre-Production, Production and Post Production). Having seen the processes from start to end, I have been exposed to many new areas that are essential for a Production to happen.
During the Pre-Production phase, some of the tasks that were given to me were compiling script breakdowns, props sourcing , setting up of spaces for rehearsals and script reads. Moving onto the Production phase, which includes the time from the start of rehearsals to the last show, my main responsibility is to file expenses and keep the Production expenditure sheet as updated as possible for the Producer and Production Manager to track budgets. After the show ends, and everything is moved back into the warehouse, and archive physical and digital assets.
